Brothers Conflict Episode 7 - The Obligatory School Festival Episode + Tranny-san in Male Clothing ♥

YOU ARE NOT CUTE, STOP IT
So this episode starts off with some of the "...siblings" sitting around the TV watching  Idol-kun's new commercial. Classmate-kun does not enjoy this, and stops the shota voiced by Yuki Kaji from replaying it again. Doctor-kun suggests the family take a trip, to sit back, relax and relieve the stress of everyday life. But alas, heroine and Classmate-kun have exams coming up, so they're not really sure.

They discuss this while going to school, they (probably) decide to go on the trip. Classmate-kun then proceeds to check out heroine from behind while thinking of the possibility of her in a swimsuit.
Well at least he wasn't touching it!
Idol-kun catches him in the act, and heroine gets all embawassed (d'aww). Idol-kun then tells all the surrounding folks that Classmate-kun is his onii-san. Classmate-kun then get's the title of "Futo's older brother."

Later heroine and Classmate-kun's class decide on what to do for the festival. They decide to do a butler café (because that's new and different). Later, heroine runs into Azusa, and wishes him luck with the anime.

Later heroine takes a nap on the couch. While asleep, Idol-kun bags the squirell (lol) and Classmate-kun stares at her sleeping face, which ultimately wakes her up.
You went too far on that one, Idol-kun!
Idol-kun says Classmate-kun was watching heroine sleep for about 10 minutes (creepy). Classmate-kun, of course, denies such accusations. Then Tsubaki walks in and tries to break up the fight. Tsubaki is tired you see, and tells the guys if they want to fight to take it outside. Idol-kun decides to stop, and proceeds to leave. Tsubaki ponders why Idol-kun is so famous despite being such a pain in the ass (not the exact words). Of course, Idol-kun bites back with a rude comment as well (which was unforgivable!).
#&^&%*&*%$@ !!!
The next morning Azusa is looking a Edward Cullen sort of color and passes out in the dining room, heroine on top of him. Then Tranny-kun walks in (it doesn't matter if he's dressed as a man or a woman, he is beautiful), and at first heroine doesn't recognize him. They both try to convince a sickly Azusa that he cannot go to work today, but Azusa is reluctant to stay home (it's his first day of recording for the anime, you see). Eventually, Tranny-kun manages to convince him.
Wow that was totally unexpected
So heroine arrives at school only to be told about the switch from just a butler café to a butler AND maid café (again, really unique developments here), due to a lack of male staff members.
The double ponytail thing is really working for me
Classmate-kun has been converted to the role of Butler-kun, looking good while doing it too! Of course, heroine will have to dress up as well.

So after heroine dresses up as maid, and Classmate-kun is in awe of how kawaii she is. Later heroine goes wandering, and gets kind of sort of kidnapped by Idol-kun.
Great, now she's gonna have a weird ass hickey. THANKS IDOL-KUN.
Idol-kun starts saying things that make a lot of sense, like how heroine is seducing the brothers, and whatnot. Then he says that he will solve her problem for her by making her his (are you following this?). He then proceeds to try to seduce her while subtly insulting his siblings, but she eventually pushes him off of her after picturing all of the other brothers in her mind. Heroine says she just wants to be family with everybody. Idol-kun says he'll make her his "for real" next time (aww shieet). She returns to her class.
I'm surprised he was even able to identify that thing as a hickey
When heroine gets home, she is exhausted. Tsubaki was asking her if she didn't have fun, but then identifies the hickey on her neck (he must be a wizard or something). He questions her about it, she does not answer. Tsubaki tells her he is very hurt by this and he wants an answer. Tsubaki then proceeds to do something which makes me question the purity of his intentions, but then is interrupted by a still sickly Azusa. They have the same argument they had last episode, but in this one Azusa states that he is worried more about Tsubaki, because if he's too forceful, things will go badly. Tsubaki refuses to listen.

Then out of nowhere, Azusa faints (while saying Tsubaki's name).
Plot, that's what's going on
Tsubaki proceeds to freak out as they do a close up of his eye for dramatic effect.
What could possibly happen next?!?!?

Episode rating 7/10 could've been better but was still very enjoyable. Tranny-san in male clothing made the episode for me.

Brothers Conflict Episode 6 - Amazing Things Happen....oh and Albums

So in this episode, I guess to make up for the rage-fest that was the last episode, awesome things happen.

I don't doubt that, Idol-kun
For one, Idol-kun is now at heroine's school, and will likely be taking the tease route. Classmate-kun is not happy about this, because he was never informed. They also briefly mention the events of last episode, which I don't really care too much for, but it's nice to see they're not forgetting things in this episode.
You'd NEVER mind being naked
The molester monk is also back to his usual antics, which is good to see.

Most of the episode was about albums. Yes, albums, as in family picture albums. Heroine has a thing for albums because she never had one of her own. Classmate-kun discovers a blurry picture of a young Azusa. Turns out, Tsubaki had taken it, and since it was blurry, they set it aside.
Wasn't he a cutie?
After heroine makes the comment seen above, Azusa offers to give her that picture. He realizes what he said was weird and apologizes, but heroine says she wants it (the picture). Azusa then says that if she wants it, she can have it (the picture) while blushing. Tsubaki then gets a grasp of the situation, and puts his arm around Azusa. He asks Azusa if he's trying to get ahead, Azusa claims to not know what he means.
These lines are super cliché, but coming from him, they're sexy.
Then on their way back to their rooms, Tsubaki tells Azusa that he won't hand heroine over (OH SNAP!). Azusa continues to look confused.
I guess that's the case with everybody in this household
Later, heroine walks in on a confrontation between Jock-kun and Ginger-kun. Ginger-kun wants Jock-kun to focus on basketball, not his imouto/desired female. Then Jock-kun says that Ginger-kun is interested not in him, but in heroine (DUN DUN DUNNN). Ginger-kun does not confirm or deny Jock-kuns claims.

As Ginger-kun takes his leave, he spots heroine. He gives her another video game sample (which was apparently why he was at the house), and tells her not to worry about what she has overheard.
Pretty sure there should be a comma in there somewhere
She then runs in to Azusa, who gives her an album. He says it's as thanks for helping him resolve the whole voice acting issue (see episode 4 for more details). Apparently, if not for heroine, Azusa wouldn't have accepted the role. He later has a phone conversation with Ginger-kun, in which Ginger-kun says that everyone has changed. Likely because of heroine. Azusa denies this and says "she's just our little sister" (BULLSHIT).

Later heroine is working on her new album (in the middle of the night), and Tsubaki walks in. Shit proceeds to go down.
And that is why I ship you two
Tsubaki gets jealous because of Azusa's picture, after shouting some cheesy things (which turned out to be lines from whatever he was going to rehearse), and then says thing that completely contradict said cheesy things. He's pretty much confessing to her, to sum it all up (which I'm obviously happy about).
I'm liking where this is going
Things are getting pretty hot, but then Azusa comes and puts out the fire (damn it). He also does in slow motion. Tsubaki gets pissed, and asks him if he's forgotten what he said. Azusa says he did because he remembered. Azusa then orders Tsubaki back to his room (while heroine lays watching). Tsubaki is still pissed, but he leaves (nooooo!).
Damn right, you don't.
Azusa asks heroine if she's alright, she says she is. Apparently the face she made was sexy or something, because it pretty much triggered Azusa to say that he had no right to lecture Tsubaki. Why? Because he, in fact, is...the same (DUN DUN DUUNNN)!

After the ending credits, we see a small conversation between God and Hippie-kun.

Episode Rating 8.5/10 They remembered! Lots of Tsubaki! Molester Monk and Idol-kun are back (classmate-kun too!)! Baby pictures (they were adorable)! Though Azusa cock-blocked during my favorite part. Damn you, Azusa! *Shakes fist*

Also...

Tranny ending card!

On an unrelated note:
As of today, I will stop blogging Free!, because it's starting to feel more like a chore than something I want to do. I will keep blogging Brothers Conflict though.

Magi: The Kingdom of Magic Trailer

So while browsing the internet today I saw a little preview of the upcoming sequel to the Magi TV series...

To be honest, I'm not too sure what to make of this. I saw no signs of including the Pirates arc or the second Sindria arc. Well, I did see Sinbad for a second, but I don't know whether that's a sign or not. From what I know, they would have to have previewed the middle of the series if they were planning on animating the arcs before the one showed.

That aside, it is a good arc, but why skip everything in between?

Eh, A-1 makes no sense at times. Hopefully, even if they do skip the events beforehand, they'll do a good job animating the events in Magnostadt.

Brothers Conflict - Asahina Iori Theory

So, the other day while discussing Brothers Conflict with a friend of mine, I realized something. One brother seems completely and utterly insignificant. Iori, the 10th son in the family. Out of all of the brothers, he has had the least screen-time, nor does he leave much of a lasting impression the few times he appears. We haven't really learned anything about this guy, I don't even know which character archetype he's supposed to be. He's a complete mystery.

Then my friend came up with a fairly interesting theory.

What if...he was supposed to remain unseen? What if he was really watching over the household from afar? What if he...was a god?

Yes, it sounds crazy, but think about it a bit.

This would explain his lack of appearances, and the "mysterious" aura he has about him.

He must remain out of sight most of the time, because if he were to face the heroine one on one for too long, he may fall victim to her charm like the other brothers.

My friend says that everyone knows about it except the heroine. That may be true, and can be suggested at the Molester Monk's listening to him in that one scene where he appears telling him to stop molesting (not the exact words).

You be the judge
So whether this is just some silly little discussion between anime-crazed teenage girls or if it really is canon will be determined in future episodes. I just thought I'd share this with you.

Brothers Conflict Episode 5 - THE GAME, MAN

This looks like a poster for a tragic romance
So before we start, let me just say one thing. I hate these little introductions they do every episode, they're so cheesy and unnecessary.

Well, yeah, doesn't everybody?
So the first half of this episode was spent on a picnic, with absolutely no mention of the events in the previous episode (and that made me very sad). By the shota voiced by Yuki Kaji's suggestion, the "family" goes picnicking under cherry blossoms at the local park. The group consisted of heroine, Doctor-kun, Tsubaki, Azusa, Ginger-kun (who arrived a little later), Jock-kun (who arrived even later), and the shota voiced by Yuki Kaji. Tsubaki is singing for some girls when Ginger-kun arrives, heroine is giggling at Tsubaki. Ginger-kun thinks about how happy she looks when she laughs.

After the group enjoys dinner for awhile, heroine goes to buy some drinks. She runs into Jock-kun, who asks her to watch his next game. The two arrive together, and a drunk Tsubaki jokingly asks if it's just a mere coincidence. Jock-kun notes the absence of the shota voiced by Yuki Kaji, who they find annoying a duck with a stick. Ginger-kun gets worried shota's gonna fall in and runs to the rescue.

I really wish the two switched positions here
Also, Ginger-kun looks like Superman
Shota falls backwards, and Ginger-kun dives straight into the lake. Tsubaki, being the loving brother he is, pulls Ginger-kun out of the water....then pushes him back in. As heroine attempts to dry Ginger-kun with her handkerchief (yeah, like that's gonna help), Ginger-kun, with great sadness in his eyes, asks if her arriving with Jock-kun really was a coincidence. She reassures him. Ginger-kun goes home with everybody so he can take a shower.

Ouch!
Upon emerging from the shower, he runs into Jock-kun. He tells Jock-kun that some magazine said he had lost his form. Jock-kun pretty much tells Ginger-kun to shut up, because he doesn't know what it's like on the team. Then a couple of insignificant scenes happen.

Later, Lawyer-kun shows heroine how to cut a chunk of meat, and then...

I love you, tranny, but I don't feel I can trust you
Tranny-san walks in on them! He/She thinks that they're having some sort of love-affair in the kitchen because Lawyer-kun was turning red as he held heroine's hand! Of course, Tranny-san promises not to say a word.

Later, heroine and Ginger-kun attend Jock-kun's game. Note that Jock-kun is unaware of Ginger-kun's attendance.

YAY JOCK-KUN!!
Jock-kun is put into the game after a picture montage of random dudes playing the game. Jock-kun shoots the winning basket, and is praised by is teammates in another still-shot.

Ginger-kun offers heroine a ride home, but has to take a call. He leaves momentarily, then Jock-kun arrives. Jock-kun hugs heroine and asks her if she has anyone she likes. Heroine answers no (WHAT ABOUT TSUBAKI, YOU BITCH?!!?!?!), and then Jock-kun tells her that he wants her by his side. Before she can answer...

Cock-blocked by Ginger-kun
Ginger-kun shows up, and it starts raining. He tells Jock-kun not to get arrogant and that he should be with his teammates. Jock-kun gets frustrated and leaves, but tells heroine to "think about it" before doing so. Ginger-kun asks heroine if she's going out with Jock-kun. She says she "doesn't know anymore."

"But we're siblings" she says.
Didn't stop her from going along with what happened last episode.

Ginger-kun then proceeds to apologize to and comfort heroine, who is sobbing and confused.

I think this was the first time the squirrel actually made me laugh
At the end of the episode, Jock-kun tells the squirrel about his confession. The squirrel is not pleased.

Episode rating is 5/10 because no mention of last episode's "stuff", it centered around Jock-kun, whom I don't really care about, and the squirrel and the shota talked too much. Tsubaki's dicky behavior, the tranny and the confession (despite it being from the wrong guy) saved the episode for me.

No offense to Jock-kun, I want him to be rejected. In fact, I kind of dislike the development, but, at the same time, it's a development. I ship the heroine with Tsubaki, but Jock-kun would be my fourth choice.
